THE DOWNFALL OF DIDDY

THE CREATIVE PROCESS

I got to design a show identity for the podcast 'Diddy - No way out'. In the podcast they discussed everything from Diddy's life during his first years in the industry, the recent lawsuits in the spring of 2025 and the impact he has had on the hip hop culture. So I thought it would fit the show to let my design be inspired of the retro look of old hip hop CDs.

But the podcast cover itself was a bit tricky. Brief: show Diddy and show the host Mads Emil Møller. Simple yes, but also a challenge. 'Cause when you need to use a picture of an alleged fellon like Diddy and the host Mads you really don't want people to think that Mads is Diddy's buddy. So to show that Mads has an interest in Diddy, but is not at all connected to him, I came up witt an idea that separated them, and stayed true to the nostalgic hip hop look that we were aiming for.

The Betty Nansen Theatre in Copenhagen has a department dedicated to the develop and improve the creation of their plays. The department is called Betty Udvikler (Betty Develops) and I had the honour of making their new visual identity. One of their biggest values is co-creation which was an important inspiration for how this turned out. They're strive to be creative, inclusive and experimenting, and I visualised this creative, but controlled chaos with a sketchy illustration style, lots of colours and mixed media.
