THE PEOPLE'S CLIMATE MARCH
THE FIRST VISUAL IDENTITY
I made the first visual identity for The People’s Climate March in Copenhagen back in 2018. I wanted to make the identity relatable for everyone in every race, gender and age because the climate changes will affect everyone no matter who you are or where you come from.
THE SECOND MARCH
For every march we have I make a new campaign. For the march on Kulturnatten in Copenhagen famous sights from the city appear from the footprint of our regular logo: a pair of legs wearing red sneaks. This symbolizes the green movement that grows in our city with every march, strike and step we take towards a greener future.
THE THIRD ONE
In 2020 we wanted to make a march in order to remind the government that they have been elected for a year but havent really made any of those changes they said they would. But to gather 40.000 people in 2020 is not a good idea (corona). So we had to come up with a new corona safe event and a new campaign for it. We ended up creating a human chain around the lakes in Copenhagen with 2 m. distance between each person instead of a march. I like the new poster just as much as the original 2020 posters, so I'll show you both versions.
POST CORONA
PRE CORONA
OUR GOALS
Both Greta Thunberg and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez have attended our marches, and in just over a year we made more than 66 thousand people march for the Danish politicians to act and the Danish people to vote green.
And they did.
We now have the greenest government ever, and they have agreed to make an ambitious climate law, but as mentioned above they haven’t really done anything yet.
But we won’t stop marching until they actually put their words into action.
